About Olivia
I am a Physics tutor with more than 8 years of experience and a BSc in Physics with Philosophy. My passion is helping middle school students explore the fundamentals of forces and motion. I know these topics can seem intimidating at first, so I use simple experiments to make them easier. Everyday activities, like playing sports or riding a rollercoaster, become lessons in physics. By connecting abstract ideas to familiar experiences, I make learning more meaningful. I love watching students’ faces light up when they realize physics is all around them. Many students face difficulties at first, but I support them with patience and clear explanations. I also design engaging problem-solving scenarios to strengthen their understanding. Step by step, they learn to apply physics in practical ways. Curiosity is encouraged in every lesson, and I make space for exploration. I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s needs. With guidance and encouragement, physics becomes less of a challenge and more of an adventure. Together, we’ll make physics fun, relatable, and easy to understand.

My Physics teaching style is reflective and rooted in scientific inquiry. Students are encouraged to design experiments and test their own ideas. We work together on experimental design, building plans that are clear and purposeful. Data analysis is taught through careful steps that show how to interpret results. I introduce error propagation gently, so students see uncertainty as part of science. Scientific reporting is practiced to help them express their findings with confidence. I enjoy working with DIY Scientists who like hands-on challenges and Curiosity-Driven Learners who ask questions freely. Both groups are supported in finding their voice in science. Lessons include a balance of discussion, practice, and reflection. Students are guided to connect theory with experience. Mistakes are welcomed as opportunities to learn more deeply. Over time, students build both independence and skill. Together, we discover how physics can make sense of the world through experiments.
