About Eero
I am a violin tutor with over 10 years of experience and a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance. My classical training forms the foundation of my teaching, allowing me to guide students through essential techniques like bowing, vibrato, phrasing, and musical interpretation. While I emphasize strong technical skills, I also encourage exploring modern expression to keep the violin vibrant and personal. I work with students across a range of styles, including Classical, Contemporary, and Cinematic music. This variety helps learners find their unique voice on the instrument. I have extensive experience preparing students for ABRSM and Trinity exams, ensuring they build solid skills while meeting exam standards confidently. In addition to solo work, I provide orchestral coaching to develop ensemble skills and stage presence. My goal is to help students combine the beauty of tradition with the excitement of creativity. I understand that each student has unique goals and styles. Some may enjoy singing along while playing, while others thrive in group settings like choirs. I tailor lessons to support these different needs by encouraging musical expression and confidence. We explore techniques that improve clarity and control, making sure each player feels confident both alone and with others.
To keep learning engaging, I use a mix of traditional practice and creative activities. I encourage students to listen closely, experiment with tone colors, and express their feelings through music. This way, they grow not just as violinists but as musicians who enjoy every step of their journey.
