About Sienna

Teaching math has been my passion for the last 4 years. With a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science, I bring both depth and creativity to my lessons. I specialize in middle school algebra, focusing on linear equations, polynomials, and functions. Many of my students arrive feeling anxious about these topics. I ease this by using puzzles and engaging exercises. Real-life connections, like budgeting or sports stats, make concepts relatable. Every student learns differently, and I tailor lessons to their needs. Visuals, examples, and guided practice all play important roles. I focus heavily on building confidence alongside skills. Mistakes are treated as steps toward growth. My sessions encourage curiosity and participation. Over time, I’ve watched learners move from struggling to excelling. Together, we’ll make algebra approachable, enjoyable, and rewarding.

About the lesson

My teaching approach focuses on clarity, logic, and applications. I teach algebra, discrete mathematics, and functions through coding analogies. Students learn to process problems step by step, like computers do. This builds strong algorithmic thinking skills. I enjoy guiding Architects and Proof Seekers in their learning. I help them express solutions naturally and confidently. Lessons include coding puzzles, logic games, and real-world tasks. Each session is relaxed but structured. I emphasize curiosity and participation. Mistakes are welcomed as part of the process. Students grow more confident as they refine their skills. They also see how math connects to the digital world. Together, we make mathematics approachable, useful, and rewarding.
