About Xavier

With 10 years of teaching experience, I specialise in violin instruction for students of all levels, from beginners to advanced musicians. Throughout my career, I have successfully taught around 150 students, helping them develop both technical skills and a love for music. My approach is rooted in positivity, patience, and problem-solving, creating a supportive learning environment where students feel encouraged and confident. I believe in breaking down complex techniques into manageable steps, allowing each student to progress at their own pace. I take a personalised approach, tailoring lessons to meet each student’s unique needs and learning style, ensuring they develop a strong foundation in violin playing. In addition to violin, I also offer lessons in music theory, ear training, and performance skills, providing a well-rounded musical education. My goal is to not only teach the violin but also to inspire a lifelong passion for music, guiding students towards both personal and musical growth.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology for violin is centred around positivity, patience, and problem-solving. I believe that a positive, encouraging environment is key to motivating students and helping them build confidence in their abilities. Whether you're just starting or refining advanced techniques, I create a supportive atmosphere where mistakes are seen as valuable learning opportunities, allowing students to progress with ease and enthusiasm. Patience is fundamental in my approach. Learning an instrument like the violin takes time, and I am committed to guiding students at their own pace, ensuring they understand each concept before moving forward. I break down complex techniques into manageable steps, making the learning process less overwhelming and more enjoyable. Additionally, I emphasise problem-solving, encouraging students to actively think about how they can overcome challenges in their playing. By fostering critical thinking skills, I help students become more independent musicians, capable of tackling any technical or musical obstacle that comes their way. Along with violin lessons, I also offer guidance in related subjects such as music theory, ear training, and performance skills, ensuring students develop a well-rounded musical foundation. My goal is not only to teach violin but to inspire a lifelong passion for music.
