About Costantino
I am Costantino, and I've worked as a teacher, translator and English tutor for 10+ years in various settings.
My experience as tutor began quite early. My parents are Italian immigrants and, having been born and schooled here in the United States, I was the first one to help them improve their English. My greatest pride is in helping them improve their linguistic and historical knowledge so that they could pass the citizenship exam (I was only 10 years old!).
Afterwards, my passion for English and language continued. After having studied writing and art at university, I moved to Berlin upon graduation. I taught English to students as a freelance tutor for four years.
I look forward to helping you expand your knowledge in English and to further explore this fun, versatile and beautiful language!

My teaching philosophy and method is quite simple, it revolves around the core principles of 'practicality' and 'comfort'. 'Practicality' in teaching what you, the student, would like to learn. 'Comfort' in providing you with a good baseline of English so that you can improvise and feel comfortable speaking and writing English in any situation; business, casual, academic, etc.
Depending on the student's needs, we will go over:
- grammar practice
- expansion of vocabulary
- pronunciation through active speaking
- expressions, idioms, figurative language
- conversations and role-play
