About Richard
I have twenty years of experience with students with many different types of learning issues and we got through it and succeeded from Kindergarten through to college. I've been formally trained by my school district in many different learning modalities for students with various needs. Each student is unique and sometimes require a plan specific to their academic needs. I'm also trained to assist in socio-emotional support because learning can also be very emotional at times, especially post- COVID years.

I prefer to teach Elementary and High School students. My students know they are cared for and respected. If I've learned anything about teaching and tutoring it is to listen to the students and learn from them first and then make a plan to address their needs. I love this kind of process. Once areas of need are identified, I do use a lot of structure in my step by step lessons. I will give you a full and thorough checklist that you can follow as we go along to reaching your goals. I like to do some assessing along the way. Also, I like to be on time, stick to time requirements, but I will always leave a door open for communication usually via email if our session is over. My time is valuable but I do not do tutor for the money, I do it to help others learn and hopefully we can all have fun and progress together. Your success is my reward.
