About Charlotte
I am a passionate piano tutor with 9 years of teaching experience, guiding students from beginners to advanced learners. My journey in music has been enriched by earning my Licentiate of Music in Piano (LMusA or equivalent), which gave me both a deep technical foundation and a strong sense of artistry. Over the years, I have helped students prepare successfully for ABRSM, Rockschool, and even university-level examinations. I believe every student has their own creative spark, and my role is to unlock it while building strong technical skills. Some students thrive on structured learning, while others flourish through exploring music they truly love. That’s why I adapt my lessons to match the individual goals and personality of each learner. I guide students to develop not only accuracy and discipline but also confidence and self-expression through music. I love blending traditional approaches with modern methods, making lessons both rigorous and enjoyable. Whether a student is chasing exam success, aiming for professional-level playing, or simply learning for personal joy, I support them every step of the way. My greatest reward is watching students grow into independent, inspired musicians who can express themselves with freedom and passion at the piano.

My teaching approach is designed to make piano fun, engaging, and inspiring for both kids and adults. I believe that strong technique and consistent practice habits are the foundation of great playing. At the same time, music should never feel boring or like a chore. That’s why I use a blend of classical and popular pieces to keep students motivated and excited. Backing tracks, rhythm exercises, and creative music games make practice lively and interactive.
I guide students in building confidence while helping them discover their unique musical voice. For beginners, I make the first steps easy and rewarding, so they quickly feel at home with the instrument. For intermediate and advanced learners, I provide tools to refine their style and expressiveness. I’m also skilled at helping students who use music as a form of relaxation or self-expression, giving them space to connect emotionally with their playing.
Those with a passion for jazz or improvisation will find structured yet creative lessons that help them shine. I adapt to each student’s pace, ensuring no one feels rushed or left behind. My goal is not only to teach but also to nurture a lifelong love for music. When students enjoy the process, progress happens naturally. And when progress happens, playing the piano becomes a true joy.
