About Hope
I am a dedicated violin tutor with over 8 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Music in Chamber Music, with a focus on violin. My approach integrates music theory, aural skills, and sight reading directly into practical violin practice. I believe that understanding the “why” behind the music strengthens both technique and musicality. Students explore scales, intervals, and harmony through tailored bowing and fingering exercises, making each practice session purposeful and engaging. I work closely with music exam candidates, providing structured guidance to help them achieve their goals. I also support students aiming to improve overall musical fluency and confidence. My lessons are designed to be interactive and adaptive, meeting each student’s unique needs and learning pace. I emphasize the connection between theory and performance, helping students apply concepts creatively in their playing. Sight reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training are seamlessly incorporated into daily practice. Whether preparing for exams or pursuing personal musical growth, I aim to nurture well-rounded, confident violinists. My goal is to inspire both technical skill and a deep love for music.
