About Drue
I have been practicing music since I was five years old, giving you about 30+ years of experience (not trying to give away my age too much here lol). I have taught many people about the actual parts of music most people don’t think about. I know both treble and bass clef, plus I also know what's called an alto clef. After learning how to read sheet music, it makes things easier to learn like piano or singing. Because I started so young, I have built my knowledge of music for many years. I taught myself how to play piano at around 7 years old. After that, my passion for learning instruments increased and at the end of it, I self-taught myself how to play 28 different instruments. I use piano the most in my lessons because it gives an easy layout to go with reading sheet music. As in the piano is pretty much laid out exactly like a music staff. I am not saying that I’m the best musician in the world, because in fact I am not. However, I do have a lot of knowledge that I would love to pass on to people as passionate about music as I am.

I start by asking a few questions to understand what your knowledge in music is. 1. Do you know what a treble clef is? 2. Do you know what a key signature is? 3. Do you know the mnemonics for the music staff? If I feel these questions are not enough, I ask further questions. But these are the basics and how I start my lessons. After I figure out where you are at in your knowledge I simply pick up where you left off and teach you what you need/want to know.
