About Noelle
I am a violin tutor with over 8 years of experience and hold a Licentiate of Music in Violin. My approach to teaching is holistic and therapeutic, focusing on self-expression, emotional release, and musical storytelling. I guide students to connect deeply with their instrument and explore their inner voice through sound. Improvisation, journaling, and soundscape creation are key tools I use to support personal growth and creative exploration. I have worked with neurodiverse learners, trauma survivors, and adult students seeking healing and balance through music. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s emotional and technical needs, creating a safe and nurturing environment. I emphasise listening, mindful practice, and expressive performance, encouraging students to communicate feelings through their playing. The violin becomes more than an instrument—it is a medium for reflection, connection, and personal transformation. My goal is to help students discover their own musical voice while experiencing joy and release through sound. I warmly invite anyone who wishes to explore the violin not just as a skill, but as a powerful companion for emotional expression and self-discovery.

My teaching approach is designed to help students build both technical skill and musical expression on the violin. I focus on foundational techniques like bowing, fingering, and intonation while gradually introducing more complex pieces. Lessons incorporate rhythm precision, ensemble skills, and creative improvisation to make students versatile musicians. I guide students through classical repertoire while also exploring contemporary and personal interpretations of music. Each lesson is adapted to the student’s pace, goals, and learning style. I emphasise consistency, discipline, and mindful practice to ensure steady improvement. Students also develop ensemble awareness, learning to play confidently with others in duets, orchestras, or small groups. I provide strategies for performance preparation, helping learners shine in recitals, auditions, or informal settings. I support both adults and ambitious performers in building confidence and refining their skills. My methodology balances structured exercises, creative exploration, and real-world application. I encourage curiosity, self-expression, and a love for music alongside technical mastery. By the end of our lessons, students gain fluency, musicality, and a deeper connection with the violin.
