About Gabriel

Spanish for real life, with someone who understands your challenges. Master Spanish through the main cultural and linguistic variations across the Spanish-speaking world.

I’m Brazilian, from Porto Alegre (RS), and I’ve been speaking Spanish for over 16 years. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). As an Ambassador of the LED Challenge (Globo), I developed a Spanish course for all audiences. I’ve had real-life experiences with speakers from different countries, which is why I understand the paths, obstacles, and fears that many people face. In my classes, you don’t just learn grammar — you learn how to communicate.

Naturally, clearly, and confidently.

I’m an actor, educator, and researcher. I hold a Master’s degree in Performing Arts from Unicamp (Capes) and have studied Humanities at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid, with language training from Instituto Cervantes in Porto Alegre, São Paulo, and Rio de Janeiro. I presented my research at Instituto Cervantes in Rio, combining theater, Spanish, and the digital world — including an audiodrama created with people aged 60+ who had never spoken Spanish before.

I bring the living language into the classroom: with RAE-based grammar (ELE), with stories, cultural references, accents, and multiple meanings. I’ve traveled to regions like Cuba, Argentina, Spain, Auschwitz, Morocco, Colombia, Venezuela, and China — where Spanish opened doors and created unexpected connections.

I teach both online and in-person classes for Brazilians and foreigners, on SuperProf and in my own projects. Whether you're a beginner, a professional wanting to communicate better, or someone simply looking to unlock fluency, portunhol isn’t a problem — it’s a transitional bridge between Portuguese and Spanish. My lessons are tailored to your current stage in life. No judgment. With listening and lightness.

Here, Spanish is more than a language. It’s a tool for transformation, expression, and connection.

Spanish Class "¿Hablas Español?" – Grammar, Writing, Listening and Conversation!

Learning Spanish can (and should) be a living experience. Whether in person or online, my course offers a real immersion into the language through an active, sensitive approach connected to Hispanic culture and today’s expressions. If we’re not living in a Spanish-speaking country, the Hispanic world must come to us through study!

I believe learning a new language is, above all, an encounter with others—and with ourselves. That’s why I’ve developed a methodology that combines theatre, communication, current affairs, and playfulness to make Spanish a close, useful language that connects us. After all, we need to be interested in the Hispanic world in order to hablar más!

My classes integrate the language into the student’s daily life through theatrical games, reading real news in Spanish (from newspapers like El País, Clarín, El Tiempo, among others), vocabulary building based on social media and newsletters, multimedia content, and simulations of real-life situations. The focus is on developing the four essential skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing—in an integrated way, based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), from A1 to C1 levels.

Beyond everyday communication, we also work on topics tailored to the student’s interests, such as test prep (ENEM, DELE), professional conversation, and current issues in Latin American and European culture and geopolitics.

How the Classes Work
• Hybrid or remote format: we can meet via video call or in public spaces (such as libraries and cafés), and I also offer in-home lessons.

• Active methodology: we use theatre as a pedagogical resource to encourage confidence, expression, and sensitivity in speech and listening.

• Educommunication: we co-create your learning algorithm based on your references, tastes, social media, and repertoire.

• Spanish current events: classes stay connected to the world. Real news and global topics are used as triggers for conversation, critical reading, and vocabulary building.

Offered Levels

• A1 – Beginner
Perfect for those just starting. Focus on personal introductions, basic vocabulary, reading and understanding simple texts, listening and writing practice. We cover everyday situations like asking for information, talking about routines, and describing places and people.

• A2 – Pre-intermediate
For students who already understand basic structures and want to go deeper. Paragraph development, conversations about experiences, longer text comprehension, and use of basic connectors. We begin cultural topics and work on personal and social narratives.

• B1 – Intermediate
For students seeking more fluency. We work on argumentative texts, expressing opinions, participating in debates, and listening to different accents and registers. The goal is to expand vocabulary, understand linguistic variations, and gain confidence in real contexts.

• B2 – Upper Intermediate
For those who already communicate autonomously and want to refine fluency, improve writing, and gain more accuracy in speech. We analyze journalistic, literary, and academic texts. Debates, simulations, and presentations are frequent, with a focus on clarity and cohesion.

• C1 – Advanced / Functional Proficiency
For students seeking mastery of the language in professional, academic, or creative contexts. Classes focus on complex argumentation, advanced writing, critical reading, and listening to authentic content (podcasts, videos, theatre, news reports). This level can include techniques in performance and public speaking for professional use—whether in presentations, interviews, or building a multilingual identity.

Additional Information
I offer classes in public or private spaces in the metropolitan area, or in other locations arranged with the student.

Online teaching available.

Whether online or in person, classes are centered around the student’s expression and sensitivity in the Spanish language. The focus is on confidence, vocabulary, grammar, and developing integrated reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

We believe real learning begins when the student realizes they can read in Spanish. Starting at levels A1, A2, and B1, we propose a unique methodology that integrates theatre as a central tool, inspired by Maurice Maeterlinck’s static theatre. This creates a space of controlled discomfort—ideal for pushing linguistic boundaries with creativity and presence.

More than absorbing content, students live the language authentically, approaching fluency with confidence—often in less than three months. Theatre enhances immersion, boosting not only grammar understanding, but also cultural and expressive nuances of Spanish.

Class scheduling and cancellations are made up to 24 hours before the meeting.

After the course ends, the recorded classes will be available for 2 weeks on Google Drive.

- Dear student,

Just a quick and important note: for international transfers via PayPal, there are some transaction fees. The official price of the class is R$62 (Brazilian reais). In Brazil, we usually use a system called PIX, which does not charge any fees for users.

However, when using PayPal, the final amount after fees should be:

€13 for students in Europe, or
$12 for students paying in US dollars.

As with any international service, it's customary for the client to cover the transfer fees — not the service provider. Thank you so much for your understanding!

My classes are private Spanish lessons and are not affiliated with any institution. I can informally assess your level to organize the lessons, but I do not provide certificates or conduct official level tests. For official certificates or level tests, please contact the Instituto Cervantes or another authorized school.
