About Paul
Hello, I am Paul Lee and I scored in the 99th percentile with a 34 super-score (best score from multiple tests) on the ACT in 2014. I was accepted into all of the colleges I applied to including UCLA and the United States Air Force Academy. I tutored for about two years before attending USAFA from 2015-2019 and had a 100% improvement rate with all of my students (approximately 20+ students with an average of 4 points improvement). During my time at USAFA, I was a personal trainer for cadets failing their PT tests for three years. I also had a 100% success rate for getting all of the cadets assigned to me off of athletic probation. I later earned three fitness certifications from NASM including the Personal Trainer Certification, Nutritionist, and Health-Loss Specialist. After graduation, my primary duty was a nuclear missile operator and instructor. For all of my evaluations, I scored a Q1 as a crew member which is the highest rating that is possible to achieve. As an operator, I have 0 operation errors over my 400+ alerts. As an instructor, I have a 100% pass rate for the students that were assigned to me for their evaluations. I have years of experience as a student, teacher, fitness coach, operator, and instructor. I am qualified to teach and give tips regarding knowledge, pressure, and decision-making. To get a good score on the ACT, adequate preparation and a solid strategy are required.

Each of the students I taught were very unique and I take time to get to know each one of them and their thinking process to help them achieve a better score. For some students, it is a knowledge gap; for other students, it is poor performance under pressure or even physical exhaustion. I use experience from my own academic, mental, and physical accomplishments to help students get their best score possible.
I will be teaching online and I require complete dedication from my students and their parents. I do an initial interview to ask questions such as:
1. What is/are your goal(s)?
2. What is your motivation?
3. What does your weekday and weekend look like?
3. What are you willing to do to achieve your goal?
Just like fitness, it will require a schedule and a plan that fits each individual. I maintain communication with the parents and talk with them after each session regarding how the session went and how I project they will perform in the future. To reach a high score, I will need both the family and individual to get in a sleep schedule and healthy lifestyle (I will work with them to find a realistic balance and adjust as needed).
I offer both short-term and long-term individual sessions/plans.
Each session will last 2-4 hours depending on the individual.
I will be moving will be available for my first session around late January 2025. However, I will be available to answer any questions before then.
If you are interested, please contact me through this platform. If you would like my resume, please leave me your email.

For all potential clients, I will do an initial interview to introduce myself and get to know the family and student. We will discuss initial starting points and ideal end points and how to get there. I am looking for long-term students who are willing to work with me for 10-14 weeks. We will do one weekly lesson (3-4 hour) and status-checks throughout the week. I will assign homework and adjust accordingly. I will also cover nutrition, physical fitness, college applications, and life lessons that have got me through my high school, academy, and military training. I will charge $500/week for this service with the expectation that we will work together for at least 10 weeks ($5000).
For some perspective, when I increased my own score from a 25 to a 34, I earned $30,000 in scholarship for in-state colleges and $120,000 for UC colleges. USAFA's education is valued at $416,000. Although a high score on the ACT alone will not guarantee acceptance at one of the top colleges, it is one of the most important tests that can significantly increase the odds of getting into one.
For my first three long-term students, I will offer a 100% guarantee of at least a 4 point increase, hitting our goal together, or your money back.
I also offer short-term and even one-day lessons. However, it will be much less common and will depend on my availability. I will charge $750 for 3-4 hours.
