About Heidi

I have over 30 years of experience as a full-time university professor, writing and literature teacher for undergraduates and graduate students. My students have been admitted to Ivy League colleges. They go on to be professional writers—journalists, authors, and public speakers. They earn top grades in their courses: high school, college, graduate school. Hey there! I am a professor of English Literature at Stony Brook University, and an author and journalist! Bonus, I am a filmmaker (you can see my recent film on Amazon Prime!). I have taught in academic programs around the world.

I will help you write gorgeous essays for your college applications.

I teach creative writing. Need guidance, feedback, editing? I'm your person.

Need help with developing your reading skills? I will assist you with your reading assignments in school and help you prepare for exams and class discussion. I am a literature professor, so reading comprehension and literary analysis are what I teach! My students develop sharp reading skills!
