About Sarah
I'm Sarah and I absolutely love English! Since my first time picking up Biff and Chip, I've always had my nose in a book. Through tutoring I hope to inspire this same passion in other young people, as GCSE and the pressure of it can make it difficult to enjoy and appreciate a good novel or story. Remember - English isn't what you see in GCSE - it's what comes after that's fun!
In my sessions I do my best to simplify the topic that you find difficult until you understand it and reach a point where you can confidently approach it and tackle it with ease.
My previous students have all come to me working at grades 4-6 at GCSE and have received grade 8 and above after working with me.

Lessons are usually 1/2 hours it's up to you really!
I tend to start by finding out how you best learns and understands (even if you don't really like English). Depending on what you would like to work on, we start with tackling your worries and overcoming them by increasing your confidence and ability in the area. I then move onto practice, until we nail it! What we work on is up to you - I am here to help you be the best you can be in English.
I have been tutoring for 2+ years, and I have tutored all the GCSE texts studied on the GCSE curriculum across all exam boards.
I usually tutor years 10 to 11 but I am happy to tutor lower years too :)
