I have learned so much in my classes with Ruth Wang Theen. She paces the class just right so you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. So many other classes you just read from a textbook but in his classes Ruth Wang Theen asks questions and gets the students to respond which is both fun and promotes faster learning. She is patient and eager to help. I’m thrilled to have found her class!

Miss Ruth is my first online English teacher. Before this, I really scared to speak in English with someone else. I see the advertisement for this class on Facebook. I told myself why I do not try it. At first, I also do not know how the method that she will teach me, just for information for you that hesitated about her blindness. Amazingly, she just same as a normal people, she taught me how to express my feelings and ask me to give my own opinion in English conversation. She gives a lot of notes on zoom, and I practice reading it and then, she also explained it very well. She is a good listener and then will correct me if I say the wrong word or pronunciation. I really do not feel pressured when I spoke to her. I can practice my English speaking happily, like a best friend that I know for years. The warm of this learning environment make me more motivated to speak in English confidently. Thank you so much my dear teacher, Ruth.

Ruth is currently tutoring my 13year old son for his English. I can see huge improvement in my son's command of English on both aspects of verbal and written. Ruth is always punctual. Ruth has also shown dedication and passion in her work. With my son, I can also see that Ruth manged to identified his weaknesses and Ruth helps my son to improve on those weaknesses.

Ruth Yong is a person who seeks to be diligent, caring and thoughtful of student(s) under her care. She is able to be flexible with her teaching in order to reach out in the most suitable manner. She is passionate and ever on the go to pick up better approaches in teaching.

She is a very special person, she was born blind. However she didn't let this affect her from achieving her dream. She still keep on trying and trying. A side from teaching us, English, she also thought us that nothing will stop us from achieving our dream, we just have to keep on trying and don't give up. She is amazing person in my life and I'm glad that I have a teacher like her.
