Working out can seem daunting for some, others might be passionate about it, maybe a few of you do not care for it. No matter your relationship with exercise, humans need to work out to preserve their body's health.

Millions of people turned to home workouts during confinement in 2020 because gyms, sports courts, and centers were closed. However, finding the energy to work out and exercise every day from home can be hard.

Some people enjoy running, keeping track of their healthy diets and routines, attending yoga classes, and having a fitness life. But let's face it, not everyone is wired like that and all this changed during the pandemic.

People now have to figure out a way to get their daily workouts in order without a gym to go to or space to go running.

You can download a free fitness app and get all kinds of resources to help you. You could also start or continue working with a personal trainer and look for someone to help you right here on Superprof. Some online classes offer subscription packages, you could pay for a membership in an app, enjoy all the features, and more.

Keep in mind that there are many resources and apps both for IOS and Android, you just have to check what's available on your App Store or Play Store. Some apps change or look different depending on which operating system you use (IOS or Android) but their features are essentially the same.

The versatility of apps

Nowadays you can find an app for almost anything you can imagine. Some people only download social media and others have an app for almost anything you could imagine.

Technology has revolutionized the way we live and exist. We are now hipper dependent on all the resources, features, and gadgets technology offers.

And there's nothing wrong with taking advantage of technology which can help us improve our daily routines, keep track of our purchases or finances, give us access to helpful gadgets, and more.

If you are looking for a solution to your lack of activity and exercise and you want to start working out, then finding a free workout app could be the answer.

Many apps will give you access to more content after paying a small fee to join a membership or a subscription, but there are plenty of free resources out there. Paid apps also offer free trials of one month and you can take a minute to browse around before you decide to pay.

Workout apps offer exercises, routines, classes, trial options, daily reminders, sessions with a trainer, and many other features. You can always start out with a video class and then progressively move towards your fitness goals.

If you're training for a marathon or a competition, you can look for apps that'll help you track your improvement, measure your performance, give you daily tips, and so on.

Again, keep in mind that sometimes there are some apps available for Android and not IOS or vice-versa. Make sure that while you research you consider which system you have so that you can find a suitable option.

Almost always the best apps are available for free so do not panic if you don't have a budget for this, you can always find another way!

Many apps like Runtastic, Nike Training Club, Fit Bod Weight Lifting Trainer, Daily Yoga, Fit On, or MyTraining Workout Tracker Log offers free access to their classes and training sessions.

Some apps will have some advertisement embedded in the app but hey, if you're not paying someone has to!

You could also use Youtube videos to work out.

Learn Yoga using apps

Yoga has become increasingly popular over the past decade because it is an amazing sport that'll make you connect with your body and mind as well as help you build a strong and healthy body.

There are countless apps you can download and use to learn yoga. Whether you're at a beginner level or you want to continue practicing, any workout app can help you meet your fitness goals.

Keep in mind that if you download the app (which will only take a minute) that's just a first step. Learning and mastering yoga will take you longer than just one month of training.

You need to commit to the sport and be disciplined. You won't master everything based on one class. You need to take different approaches to learning, especially if you want to learn it by yourself.

The best yoga classes or apps aren't necessarily the ones you pay for so you shouldn't worry if you can't afford to pay for a membership or a subscription.

There's plenty you can learn for free!

Yoga can be about relaxation, meditation, connection; but it can also be about building strength, workouts, sweating, and more. Yoga is viewed as a "girly" sport, but do not let sexism fool you. It is a demanding and fulfilling sport.

And the best part is that you won't need much equipment to practice it. You need a yoga mat and space in your bedroom or living room.

If you choose to learn yoga keep in mind that there's a huge learning curve that comes with the sport and if you feel like you need extra support you can always look for a yoga instructor in your area right here on Superprof.

Use your home equipment and an app to guide you

If years ago your parents purchased a treadmill or gym equipment and now it's sitting in your basement, then it's time to dust it off and start using it.

Depending on the equipment you have, you can choose your preferred form of workout and look for an app to use with anything you have access to.

The best apps are available both for IOS and Android and you can find countless resources both at home and online. You can look for video training to build core strength and use the weights you have at home.

You can look for a running app and use the treadmill or look for cardio training and use your dad's stationary bicycle. If you have a gym fully equipped at home and you've never used it, you can definitely find an app with instructors and classes to guide you.

You should look for an app that has training and exercises based on the equipment you already have because there's no use in going out and buying new equipment, especially if you can't fit extra purchases in your month's budget.

You can choose your exercises and set your fitness goals and get started. Keep in mind that workouts are designed to help you improve your health in many ways, so don't stress about things and just take action!

If you do not have equipment at home continue reading because there are still many workout options for you. Don't let the excuse of "not having a treadmill" keep you from working out and training.

No equipment at home? Find a workout app!

You can do a workout with elastic bands, water bottles, bricks, and many other resources that are laying around in your house. You can also only use your own body weight and start from there.

Depending on what you want to do or what your goals are, there are plenty of apps available for home workouts. If you want a more flexible body you might want to look for a yoga app.

If your goal is to improve in cardio the industry offers countless free apps for running. You can look for an app that has videos or short clips of exercises you could do and build multiple personal routines from there.

If you want to gain or lose weight you could look for a personal trainer that can work side by side with you and help you improve one day at a time.

Many trainers on Superprof offer the first lesson for free as a trial class, take advantage of this and see how you like their methodologies and so on.

If one of your goals is to have a more healthy and fit lifestyle then you don't need huge machines, all you need is to commit to yourself and start!

Social media can be an incredible resource and on Using social media to exercise we tell you how.
