Using sports apps from home

If you're struggling with having a healthy lifestyle, getting a fit or summer body, getting in shape, or you don't have a budget to pay for a gym or a coach, do not worry! There are many options to get routines without having to pay thousands of dollars each year.

Technology has granted us an endless supply of amazing learning resources, and apps are part of that. A training app is a cheap way of getting in shape without having to spend the day in a local gym.

An app will offer a lot of great content you can use to push yourself into the state you've always wanted it to be.

Apps are really good and helpful for a handful of reasons. You'll have access to a lot of valuable information and fitness tips, you'll have a healthy push to help you while you're working out, you'll be able to build a daily routine, and more.

Another positive aspect is that some apps have time trackers and you will be able to track how much time you need to exercise per day to meet your goals. Apps can also help guide you if you're feeling lost, you can program it to fit your work schedule, and if you're feeling a little resistance towards the app you can always download another one.

All you actually need to exercise on a budget is some equipment. For example, if you want to gain muscle weight you'll need to purchase some weights, if you want to go out and do some power walking then you'll need good shoes and if you don't like to walk, you'll still need other types of equipment for other exercises.

Don't forget that many free apps will also offer a premium package which usually has a cost but if you pay for it you'll have access to even more and better information. But again, if money is tight do not worry because there's plenty of content out there that you can access without having to pay a fee.

If you want to find other ways you can get some exercise routines continue reading this article, but if you want to learn more about apps go check out our article on top free apps for exercising.

YouTube as your personal gym

Another amazing resource available online for us to use for free is YouTube. All you have to do is look for the workout videos and workout channels and get started building your algorithm on the platform.

The algorithm of this page will track the things you like to watch and later on it'll push similar content to your home page and your "up next" queue.

On YouTube, you can also save what you liked to watch later and build a list of saved videos related to your interests. For instance, if you're looking for workout and fitness content, you can create your own list and save them to do later.

There's plenty of fitness and workout content available on this platform. If you want to exercise freely you could look up a personal trainer's channel and see what they have to offer. If you want to learn yoga, you can also look for yoga content and yoga instructors.

There's also content for other types of exercises and all kinds of physical training. Many YouTubers also create content about healthy ways to exercise at home, how to build muscles with only one weight, how to stay fit and get your summer body, and so on.

You can also look for channels created by a gym. These channels usually offer online classes (in the form of a video) and they are a great free resource. However, keep in mind that you'll most likely have to buy a membership to have access to better quality videos, the best workouts, to have access to a coach, and more.

But if you want to be fit and be in shape without having to buy an expensive gym membership then this platform is your cheapest option. If you're on a budget but you can still afford to pay for something then you should consider looking for a personal trainer right here on Superprof.

Cheap options of exercising

There are plenty of ways you can exercise and get fit without having to pay large amounts of money to go to a gym or to hire a trainer.

If you're a student you should try to take advantage of your school campus. Because of the pandemic, many schools are closed and have been closed for over a year now. If your school is closed there's nothing you can do about it.

But, if your school is open you should definitely take advantage of the football, basketball, or baseball fields on campus. You should go out and practice a sport with friends or use the space for training, running, walking, moving around, and getting some fresh air.

Many colleges have a lot of green areas which you could use to train, walk, do your aerobic routine, or do any type of outdoor activity.

If you're not a student you could still look for a local park, court, pool, or place where you could work out. Keep in mind that public places might have a fee but they'll definitely be cheaper than private gyms.

If you don't enjoy going out as much because you're still trying to be safe (which we should all try to do), there's still plenty of options for you.

You could exercise with a friend through video calls or have a friend come over to your house. You could also try hiring a coach with a friend and split the cost of the classes.

Don't forget that you can always find someone right here on Superprof. Whichever sport or exercise you're interested in, there's always someone teaching it and offering classes of it on Superprof!

Fitness is not about owning expensive equipment or attending an expensive gym, it's about caring for your body and strength. So take advantage of the things you do have and take care of your health.

There are many activities you can do for free, so stop slacking around, begin your physical journey, and enjoy the benefits of the fitness lifestyle.

How to use social media as a workout tool?

You could always use social media to learn about the fitness lifestyle and follow content creators who are also professional trainers and sports coaches.

You could start following many different pages and once you see how much you like someone's content you can proceed to unfollow or continue following them on social media.

You'll find all kinds of content on platforms like Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit, and so on. But do not worry if you're not using every social media platform the market has to offer. Each platform was developed to satisfy the needs of different audiences, which means that not everything should appeal to you.

All you need to do is figure out which one you like, find your niche of interest in the one you enjoy, and use it to start exercising from home, the park, a friend's house, or anywhere else.

If you're interested in hiring someone you found on social media you could always message them asking for a class or a lesson and wait to see if they'll be interested once they reply. You have nothing to lose!
