About Brooklyn
I actually failed my creative writing class my junior year of high school. And then I wrote a book. Which led me to believe it was my English teacher! Maybe it was, maybe it wasn’t! That’s the beauty of life! We will never know many things about life. What you will know (because I am telling you) is creative writing is completely subjective to your imagination. When the teacher tells you to write a horror story, mine could be about my nail breaking and yours could be about sleeping in a dark room! It’s a really complex subject that leaves the interpreter left with nothing to do but make intellectual assumptions! That is my favorite part about English. I mean everything is, but specifically the part where English itself is creative and leaves the mind open to interpretation! My story is horror to me and silly to you. And vice versa. English is a language, but it is also so much more!

Have you ever been given an assignment, sat down to do the assignment, gotten distracted trying to do the assignment, and then procrastinated until the assignment could no longer be done to reflect your full effort? I know I have!
I want to help you! English was one of my favorite classes when I was in school… and that is a very unpopular opinion. Not even for the reasons that there is so much homework, but for the reason that most students have no idea what to write about!
I have to say, sometimes you don’t just stumble across your muse. You have to track it down! (And also form some good study habits, but don’t worry we will knock that out of the ballpark!)
