Hi, I’m Alicia—an experienced English tutor, certified therapeutic life coach, and passionate advocate for creative learning. I bring a unique blend of compassion, structure, and creativity to every lesson. With a background in writing, psychology, and the arts, I understand how to meet students where they are, especially those who may feel overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from traditional learning methods. As a tutor, I combine creativity with emotional intelligence to help students build confidence in their English skills. My teaching method is trauma-informed and student-centered, meaning I adapt my approach to each learner’s pace, interests, and unique needs. Whether a student is neurodivergent, anxious about speaking, or simply struggling to connect with reading and writing, I provide a calm, encouraging space where they can thrive.
A typical lesson begins with a short check-in, followed by a tailored activity focused on reading comprehension, writing structure, or grammar. I use visual aids, storytelling, and interactive tools to make each session engaging and memorable. We close each lesson with a brief reflection and goal-setting moment, helping students track their growth.
What sets me apart is my background as a therapeutic life coach and published writer. I don’t just teach the rules—I teach the confidence to use them.
