Comparative Literature professor and liberal arts curriculum author provides expert thesis and dissertation support.

Methodology

I hold a Ph.D. from Emory University in Comparative Literature, and I've taught in the English Departments at University of Texas - Arlington, Oglethorpe University, and Georgia Tech.

I will coach you through the writing process, meeting you wherever you are currently in your research and draft. If you're a native speaker of English, I'll help you refine your writing so that it serves you across the curriculum and for years to come in your professional life. If you're a non-native speaker of English, we'll work on a few strategies to streamline and clarify your writing so that you communicate with expert precision and style.

I employ a few accelerated learning strategies that will help your writing immensely and inspire far more enjoyment than you may be experiencing.

I work with college and graduate students with literary analysis, philosophy, history, sociology, and research papers of all lengths in the humanities and social sciences. This includes Master's theses and Doctoral dissertations.

I can help you to become a great writer, but I won't do the work for you. You'll need to rise to the occasion to find your voice and to present your message as only you can. I'll guide you through the time-proven approaches to making writing one of your most effective forms of communication, connection, and persuasion.

Background

I'm a published author, an award-winning curriculum designer and teacher/trainer, and an expert in distance learning. I'm working on a book, learning Spanish in South America as I travel, and teaching online. I also work as a copywriter and info-marketer with thought leaders who are change agents for the greater good.

I've been teaching, writing, designing curriculum, and training teachers and educational leaders for 30 years. I love working with bright, passionate young scholars. In the education management company that I co-founded as an education entrepreneur, we grew the organization from 2 people at my dining room table to a global team of 1,800 employees on 3 continents. Having sold that business, I'm now writing, traveling and teaching - my three great loves (besides my grown children, of course.) I might mention that all three of my sons are exemplary writers in their own right. They all tend to serve as editor for their friends and colleagues. I'll share with you the accelerated version of what they learned growing up with an English professor and author. Most importantly, we'll work on your unique voice and message.

I have known and worked with Dawn since 2003; in fact, Dawn was my employer and supervisor with Mosaica Education, Inc., and I was fortunate to work closely with her on many projects between 2003 and 2015.

Dawn led our Paragon Design Team to design a well-researched social studies/humanities curriculum that engaged learners and led to deep understanding of content. She consistently modeled best practices in education as she brought history to life for students of all ages through dynamic lessons and hands-on learning activities in a student-centered environment. Dawn is an advocate for learners and works to provide instruction that will help each student reach his or her potential.

Dawn has been a leader in designing and delivering curriculum modules for students and professional development modules for teachers and administrators. Her teaching style models effective teaching strategies and the utmost professionalism. Dawn’s positive attitude and can-do spirit will be an inspiration for students.

Dawn is passionate teacher and anoutstanding writer. When she was teaching college and graduate students, I read her student course reviews and told her that she needed to take her influence to a much larger level. She then became an education entrepreneur, creating a unique interactive liberal arts program enjoyed by over 100,000 K-12 students globally. If you want to learn to write better, faster, and with your own clear and compelling voice, look no further to find your guide.
