About the lesson
I hold a Ph.D. from Emory University in Comparative Literature, and I've taught in the English Departments at University of Texas - Arlington, Oglethorpe University, and Georgia Tech.
I will coach you through the writing process, meeting you wherever you are currently in your research and draft. If you're a native speaker of English, I'll help you refine your writing so that it serves you across the curriculum and for years to come in your professional life. If you're a non-native speaker of English, we'll work on a few strategies to streamline and clarify your writing so that you communicate with expert precision and style.
I employ a few accelerated learning strategies that will help your writing immensely and inspire far more enjoyment than you may be experiencing.
I work with college and graduate students with literary analysis, philosophy, history, sociology, and research papers of all lengths in the humanities and social sciences. This includes Master's theses and Doctoral dissertations.
I can help you to become a great writer, but I won't do the work for you. You'll need to rise to the occasion to find your voice and to present your message as only you can. I'll guide you through the time-proven approaches to making writing one of your most effective forms of communication, connection, and persuasion.

About Dawn
I'm a published author, an award-winning curriculum designer and teacher/trainer, and an expert in distance learning. I'm working on a book, learning Spanish in South America as I travel, and teaching online. I also work as a copywriter and info-marketer with thought leaders who are change agents for the greater good.
I've been teaching, writing, designing curriculum, and training teachers and educational leaders for 30 years. I love working with bright, passionate young scholars. In the education management company that I co-founded as an education entrepreneur, we grew the organization from 2 people at my dining room table to a global team of 1,800 employees on 3 continents. Having sold that business, I'm now writing, traveling and teaching - my three great loves (besides my grown children, of course.) I might mention that all three of my sons are exemplary writers in their own right. They all tend to serve as editor for their friends and colleagues. I'll share with you the accelerated version of what they learned growing up with an English professor and author. Most importantly, we'll work on your unique voice and message.
