About Clare

Originally from Northern Ireland, I am a dance artist and dance teacher who graduated with a First Class BA Honours Degree in Dance Urban Practice from the University of East London. During this time I trained and performed in many cultural dance forms and styles such as Afro Contemporary, Commercial, Hip Hop, Kalaripayattu and Capoeira. I have a Higher National Diploma in Dance and a BTEC National Diploma in Dance and Drama. Throughout my dance career, I have had the opportunity to perform and teach in various diverse settings across London, South Wales and Northern Ireland, In both private and community settings. I have 9+ years teaching experience working with all age groups and I am a qualified Balletbefit instructor.

About the lesson

I am a passionate and friendly individual who loves everything about the performing arts industry. As a person I am very patient and always willing to help others by sharing my experiences and knowledge. I offer private one to one and group classes in Commercial, Ballet, Contemporary, Urban and Urban Fit. I tailor your private lessons to suit you depending on your ability! If you want to get fit and have fun dancing at the same time then I'd love to hear from you! My Private classes - Firstly, I will need to know some information regarding your dance experience/ability and your goals. This will allow me to tailor your private class to suit you! - I will then devise a class plan which will apply the information that you have provided. - The first class will cover a warm up and fundamentals of the dance style that you choose followed by a cool down. - The following classes will increase in difficulty as we progress - the difficulty of the class only increases if you are happy to do so. - At the end of each class please feel free to ask any questions or alter anything that you feel would be more suitable for you. - If you book a block of classes, as the classes progress, we will check in with each other to make sure we are happy that you are on course to meet your goals that you outlined at the beginning of our journey together. Additionally within the classes - Healthy lifestyle and well being advice given if requested!

She creates a fun and energetic dance class which immediately lifts your mood and creating great self esteem. She has Great patience and will make you feel at ease.
