About Christina
Hello! My name is Christina and I am a Bachelors of Education student. As an education student, I am deeply passionate about helping my students gain knowledge and foster a love for learning. With one year of teachers college experience, one year of teaching experience and several years of helping those with disabilities, I have the ability to tailor my teaching to different abilities. I aim to create a supportive learning environment for students where they feel valued, understood and empowered.

My approach to teaching student-centered. This means that I tailor my teaching methods to the individual needs of each student. I enjoy incorporating hands on learning, visuals, discussions and technology to teach topics to students. This allows students to be fully engaged and enjoy their learning.
Each lesson typically begins with an engaging introduction that will capture my learners interest in the topic. I incorporate guided activities, direct instruction and independent practice into my lessons. My activities are scaffolded to gradually increase complexity of the topic to ensure students are comfortable while growing their knowledge.
What sets me apart from other tutors is my passion for education. Being an education major, I am motivated to create a positive learning environment while creating relationships with my students. I want to understand my students strengths, weaknesses and interests to better help them. I will ensure that my students are obtaining the highest quality tutoring service.
