AA, English BA, English and Creative Writing with Fiction Concentration MA
I will aid anyone who needs help with English from understanding hard texts, citing original sources, or simply understanding sentence structure. I can also proofread any piece of writing, especially in regards to theses and dissertations.
I like students to be comfortable in my sessions, so note that I take the approach of criticism mixed with praise. Need to know at least one part of your piece is working? I will find it and I will tell you.
I have tutored for over three years of various ages. I have assisted students and coworkers/employers in making sure what is being submitted or signed is understood correctly. Because of my willingness to help everyone without judgment, I have received many thank you and praises and in regards to students have raised Ds to Bs and Cs to As.
I thoroughly believe that everyone learns differently and understand that I will be approached with many different reading and writing styles and that some may even be multilingual with English as a second language. I am very comfortable in helping in these areas and making sure that the student's voice is always heard in the way that he or she wants to be represented.
While I have not yet had control of my own classroom, I have worked as a teacher’s aide and have tutored multiple age groups as well as developed a working curriculum during my MA program.
