About Abbie
I am a professional writer and creative who studied Creative Writing as an undergraduate at Chapman University. Immediately following college, I worked as a content writer for several months at a digital marketing company, where I wrote and edited thousands of my words and colleague's words every day. Shortly after this experience, I decided to follow my pedagogical ambitions and worked as a full-time premier tutor at Personalized Prep in Newport Beach, CA for nearly half a year. Currently, I am aiming to work part time for a reputable tutoring company such as Superprof in the long term while I begin the process of applying to and attending graduate school.

I primarily work with grades 9-12, and also provide essay and cover letter editing sessions to college students. When working with students, my priority is their comprehension of the subject we're reviewing so that they have the power to take on similar topics individually the next time. When planning for lessons, I work to break down and present topics in digestible chunks, which allows bright minds time to absorb this new information. I practice patience and encouragement with every student I encounter.
