About Bonnie

I’m a career administrator, which lends me to the refined use of the English language as I am often depended upon for editing documents and refining communications to clients and external partners. In my personal life, I am learning Russian as my second language, so I’ve come to a greater appreciation for what it takes to wrap your brain around something so different from the language of your heart.

I have a large network of Ukrainian friends with varying levels of English skills, and I often find myself teaching them English while we spend time together. It’s been a privilege to see them grow as they continue to improve their abilities in the English language, and even though they have English teachers, they often come to me for help to gain a deeper understanding of the nuances of English.

I am passionate about helping people communicate clearly and accurately in English, focusing on both the technical and creative aspects of language. My teaching approach is rooted in real-world examples and relatable scenarios that make learning enjoyable and relevant. I work with both youth and adults to improve their grammar, sentence structure, reading skills, and the readability of their writing, tailoring each lesson to meet the unique goals of each student.

For those interested in strengthening their written communication, I bring a strong background in writing and polishing resumes. I’ve assisted friends and family with resumes to help them present their skills in a polished, professional manner, making a strong impression on potential employers. This passion for clear, impactful communication is something I bring into all my English lessons.

I primarily teach online, offering flexible and accessible lessons, but for local students, I also provide in-person sessions. Whether you’re looking to refine your writing, improve your grammar, or develop more confidence in reading, I’m here to support you on your journey to becoming a fluent, effective communicator.
