About Scott
I am new to Tutoring, although during A'Levels I supported a number of students in the production of their University personal statements, and volunteered at a local School where I supported stdents in getting involved in and progressing with a variety of academic subjects.
My own academic acheievement should be testament to my skill in the English subject area, and over four-and-a-half years in a full-time professional environment have enabled me to develop skills which I am certain would be of benefit to a range of Tutees.

My name is Scott, and I am passionate about English Language and Literature, and would love to support anyone who wants to develop their skills in this area or futher explore the subject if it is their passion. Four years ago I achieved a 2:1 in BA (Hons) English & Drama, and now hold an MA in 21st Century Literature. Before this, I achieved a B-grade full A'Level in English Language & Literature, one year early, an A in English Language GCSE (also one year early), and an A* in English Literature GCSE (which put my grade in the top three percent of all students in the country at the time).
It is important to be flexible in my approach to Tutoring, because each student is different; as we begin, I would like to understand how you work best. Variety in our interactions is also important though, and so I would be keen to ensure there is always an element of discussion between us, independent work on your part, and critical feedback from my side. Online discussions, transfer of work and content, and live-chat sessions my work well in today's digital world, though face-to-face support would be possible for local Tutees.
I am patient and creative, and take a flexible approach to dealing with people. My attitude is supportive, open-minded, and fun, which I hope would make me a Tutor suitable for a variety of students.

Please note that I have not stated an additional cost for travel. This is specifically because it would be unfair to charge for any travel which I can easily do on-foot or by bicycle (and therefore for free), and would only look to charge for traver over larger distances (by-taxi) to the nearest Pound, only where this type of travel is absolutely necessary.
