About Violet
I am a trained singer in highschool with a crazy passion for music! I have always had one career path and known what I want to do.
I have a LOT of drive and my work ethic is amazing. No matter how many complications are thrown at me (which being a musician, you deal with often), I never give up on my dream, and I want to teach other young performers how important it is to do the same.
I started singing lessons at 6 years old and continued working since then. I have worked with celebrated vocal coaches like Lorraine Lawson, who have taught me a lot about how use my voice in a healthy way and have control over my voice. I am also a classically trained pianist and know basic guitar!
I have been performing my whole life and have lots of stage experience, performing with Canadian icons like Serena Ryder at Peterborough music festival (age 7)
My family is all musicians and I also study music at school. I never stop learning music or playing music, and I like it that way!
At school I learn how to sight read sheet music and read rhythm in super clear way, that I could 100% teach with patience.
At school I often teach other peers how to have vocal control and I have seen major improvement in their voice since then, which made me realize I could get into teaching
I have lots of experience!

Hi! I have decided to start coaching, because I have seen major improvement in technique, control, and performance ability when coaching peers. I am a performing singer in a rock band, but I started vocal lessons 10 years ago. I currently study vocals every day, as that is my major at the performing arts highschool I currently attend.
While rock vocals are my main focus, I am trained in jazz, classical, pop, and opera style vocals as well, and can give you the best teaching for the style you want!
I also will work with the singer to improve their confidence and help them feel comfortable in their talent, AND with that comfort comes the ability to move freely and make singing what it’s meant to be, fun! We will also practice stage presence and mic etiquette along with everything they need to be an amazing performer!
CONFIDENCE IS EVERYTHING.
I started off as a very shy singer and this held me back! All I needed was a good teacher to snap me out of it, which I can be for you!
Because I am a teenager, I feel most comfortable teaching ages 6-18. Lessons with anyone older will be done online for my personal preference.
I will create a personalized plan for each student, and send weekly reports back to the student, letting them know their next steps and key things to work on.
I am super flexible and understanding with tight schedules and can work around almost anything, as long as we have good communication!
