About Jennifer
I am a PhD student in English with Master of Arts degrees in Literature (Early Modern drama) and Professional Writing. I have a BA in English from Wesleyan University and taught college level first-year composition for 7 years before moving into tutoring administration. I am a published game designer, and have presented at national academic conferences on literature, pedagogy, popular culture, and writing with technology.

I believe that writing is a tool for thinking, as well as a finished product. Learning to write is learning to think and communicate effectively. I work with students to identify audience, medium, and purpose, and make sure what they're doing is on track with what they want to achieve. I am an experienced professional proofreader and editor, and while I am not an editing service, I teach students to be their own editor, making them more efficient writers.
I also work with advanced writers, because no matter how experienced you are, a fresh pair of eyes can help you to fine tune your work to take it to the next level.
