About James
Hello, I'm James, an English teacher from Bristol, England. Studying English at A level and at university has left me with a huge enthusiasm for linguistics and creative writing. What I enjoy most about tutoring and teaching English is meeting new people and motivating them to reach their goals and beyond. Outside of teaching I am a trained chef, with experience in Michelin kitchens and therefore cooking is a huge hobby of mine. I also enjoy the gym and anything to do with being outdoors!

Years of teaching English at A Level and below, to children, young adults and adults much older than myself have shaped my teaching style to be reflective, adaptive and learner focused. I tutor those looking to improve their English conversation and writing skills, those who want to push themselves further in KS3, 4 and 5 and those who wish to gain literacy qualifications. Lessons are usually 1 hour and often double or 1.5 hour lessons are requested and accepted.
