About Logentheran
I am a professional Cyber Security Risk Officer with hands-on experience conducting penetration tests and offensive security assessments in the banking, government, and healthcare sectors. With a strong foundation in Python, web application security, malware analysis, and exploit development, I bring real-world expertise directly into my lessons. I hold the CompTIA Security+ certification and am pursuing advanced CREST qualifications, ensuring that my knowledge is both credible and up to industry standards. My background as both a security professional and a former developer allows me to explain complex concepts in a way that is clear, structured, and practical. Students can expect a professional, structured, and engaging learning experience. Every session is designed to build confidence step by step, blending theory with real-world labs and scenarios. Whether you are a student, beginner, or professional, my goal is to help you not only understand cybersecurity but also apply it effectively.

1. Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I use a hands-on, practical approach because cybersecurity and tech are best learned by doing.
My methodology usually follows three phases:
Concept Simplification – I break down complex technical concepts (e.g., networking, exploits, malware, secure coding) into clear, beginner-friendly explanations.
Guided Practice – Learners try out labs, coding exercises, or simulated attack/defense scenarios with my support.
Application & Reflection – We analyze real-world cases (e.g., CVEs, red team reports, breaches) so students see how concepts apply in practice.
I also encourage problem-based learning: instead of just showing answers, I pose real challenges so students develop critical thinking.
Tools I integrate include virtual labs (VMware, VirtualBox), cloud environments, and platforms like TryHackMe, HackTheBox, or custom Python scripts.
2. Typical Lesson Length
60 to 90 minutes is standard, depending on the depth of the topic.
For hands-on labs, I often run 90-minute sessions to allow enough time for setup, exploitation, and review.
Shorter 30–45 minute sessions are also possible for theory-heavy topics (e.g., explaining encryption, threat modeling).
3. Qualifications and Experience as a Tutor
Professional Background: Red teamer in the banking industry, with penetration testing experience in finance, healthcare, and government sectors.
Certifications: CompTIA Security+ (and preparing toward CREST certifications).
Technical Skills: Advanced in Python (automation, custom pentest tools), web exploitation, malware analysis, and offensive security.
Tutoring/Teaching: Experience guiding interns, junior developers, and students in both structured training and informal mentorship, helping them move from theory to real-world application.
4. Who My Lessons Are For
University Students – Those studying IT, computer science, or cybersecurity who want hands-on, practical understanding beyond textbooks.
Junior Security Analysts / Developers – Professionals starting in cybersecurity or development, who want to learn secure coding, penetration testing, or red teaming basics.
Career Switchers / Enthusiasts – Adults from non-tech backgrounds who want to enter the cybersecurity field.
Intermediate Learners – Anyone with a basic foundation in IT who wants to advance into areas like offensive security, Python for security, or exploit development.
