About Marcellus
Hello! I fell in love with writing from the moment I knew what it was and I want to foster that love in others. I have been writing professionally for eight years, during which I also worked as an editor and essayist. During my four years in college, I wrote over thirty essays and also edited my peers' writing as well. Along with writing, I am also an avid reader who has extensively studied classical literature and its themes and context.

As a tutor, I meet my students where they are at and build from those skills. I focus on writing - both creative and essay - and classic literature. My lessons are geared for high school and college, but I have worked with middle school students before.
I am a firm believer in applicable, constructive feedback meant to improve, not criticize. Our time together will be focused not only on improving writing and literature skills, but also fostering confidence in my student as well. I believe that everyone can learn to appreciate writing for its creative expression and learn to apply that expression to their interests.
