About Gaitree

I am from Mauritius; a country where language plays a huge part of our learning. I speak French, Hindi, English and Mauritian Creole. I have studied French till A Level. I have a Cache Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification. I am also an MBA and FCCA qualified professional. French has been the heart of my nursery brand - "Le Nid"- meaning the "The Nest." To celebrate the love for this language, I have launched a free French learning platform through the Facebook page Le Nid Childcare- learning French. My aim is encouraging language development. I am happy to tailor-made lessons for your children to promote the love for a second language in addition to English. It’s never too early to begin learning a new language: it’s fun, it promotes healthy development, and the many cognitive and social advantages which has a lifelong positive impact on our life. Starting early has even more benefits. Learning a new language puts a child at a significant advantage. Children who learn another language before age five use the same part of the brain to acquire that second language that they use to learn their mother tongue. Research shows that learning a second language boosts problem-solving, critical-thinking, and listening skills, and also improves memory, concentration, and the ability to multitask. They show signs of enhanced creativity and mental flexibility. Learning more than one language has the ability to boost the academic performance in later years. London is a melting pot of so many cultures. Children who are exposed early to other languages tend to be more responsive and enjoy cultures associated with those languages. Language introduces us to the world in ways we might otherwise have not experienced- they can make new friends from other countries.

About the lesson

Use fun interactive methods to engage younger audience through nursery rhymes, stories and fun activities. Embed the early years curriculum 30 mins for younger and up to 1 hour depending on the child's concentration span. Lessons tailored to the ability and level of child.
