About Catherine

Having taught in private schools in the UK as a French and Spanish teacher to the current specs, I am well placed to assist any students with their exams.
In addition, I am well positioned to teach adults. I believe in continuous learning. I am aware of the challenges people may have juggling other responsibilities, I am currently learning Mandarin myself, and will tailor the lessons to suit all schedules.

About the lesson

I have taught in the UK system from Year 7 to Year 13. I have taught at GCSE level as well as A level and am able to adapt to the challenges of the Exams as well as provide lessons to extra-curricular students.
I will prepare 1 hour lessons once the requirements have been assessed, as well as homework, tests reading material.
I am a strong believer that motivation is everything and will take time to tailor the lessons to each individuals interests and capabilities, using all types of materials from online, to newspapers, comics, videos and films, in addition to teaching the necessary basics and Exam requirements.
I understand the importance of confidence and where necessary, will focus on increasing speaking practice which is often lacking in a school environment.

I reserve the right to amend the cost of the lesson depending on lesson demands (preparation, location) but this will be discussed once these have been established and before any payments are made.

My first lesson can either be used to discuss level and requirements to get started, this will ensure a fully tailored experience.
Alternatively, we can have a quick evaluation over the phone, followed by a 30 min lesson.
