About Eric
Having grown up with a love of computers and video games, I've always been fascinated by how they work, and I'm happy to share the joy and beauty they've added to my life. I also take pride in my communication skills, understanding that the genius is in simplifying a problem, not over-complicating it. Putting these qualities together, my students quickly build an understanding of otherwise complex concepts, and see great improvement in short periods of time.

My lessons are for kids, teens and even college/university students who want to learn game development, web development, or other kinds of programming. Lessons are immediately practical and get straight to the point!
Students can choose to learn one or more of the following:
- Game Development (Unity, Unreal or Godot)
- Web Development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React.js, Express.js, AWS)
- General Programming (Python, Java, JavaScript, C#)
- Micro-controller Programming (Arduino)
Each lesson typically introduces a new feature to work on. Most are simple enough to complete by the end of the class.
My teaching philosophy has three core tenets:
Simplicity -- Difficult concepts are broken down into their simplest parts. Students are first taught the building blocks they’ll need, and then shown how those blocks can be assembled together in useful ways.
Engagement -- Students start coding right from Day 1, building up their “muscle memory” of the tools and strategies they’ve been introduced to. Active participation is a simple, effective method for fast learning.
Achievement -- From mastering individual building blocks to seeing tangible progress on their projects, it is crucial that students notice themselves progressing past obstacles, becoming more capable and productive.
