About Jessica
I am a wife and mom of three amazing elementary school aged children, who also teaches full time. I have been teaching in elementary classrooms for the last 15 years and in that time, I have been able to be a part of countless "aha" moments. My ability to get to the heart of who each of my students are and where each of my students are at developmentally truly helps me to most effectively teach my students. My impeccable communication with parents along with the wide variety of resources I have to offer allow my students to succeed in reaching their reading and writing benchmarks. I teach my students and relate to my families with honesty and integrity as well as a uniquely refreshing sense of professionalism. I look forward to working with you in order to help your child reach their full potential as a reader and a writer.

My hands-on and holistic approach to reading and writing instruction have developed strong readers and writers for over a decade. Through interactive methods and the gradual release of responsibility model, I have taken timid readers and writers and helped them to grow into readers and writers who are not only strong, but also enjoy the process. Through a wide variety of developmentally appropriate practices, I have helped to make reading and writing meaningful, achievable and enjoyable for elementary children and their families for almost 15 years.
