About Lucia
I am an elementary school teacher who loves working one-on-one with students as they are developing as students and also people. I have four plus years of experience with tutoring and consistently bring new strategies and methods to teaching! Phonics and literacy are challenging things to learn but taking it one step at a time builds confidence and strengthens students skills!

As a tutor, I will create lessons based on student's abilities and set reasonable, individualized, and appropriate goals. I work with students throughout early childhood and elementary school (ages 6-12). Lessons are organized, concise, and allow for plenty of time to practice and improve skills such as, phonics, literacy, reading, and writing. All lessons are based on state standards but will be tailored to the student's unique needs. I also believe in the importance of building trusting relationships and connections with students as a way to bring excitement and joy into these invaluable but challenging subject areas.
