About Danya
I am a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned my Master’s in Bioengineering. Prior to that, I received my Bachelor of Science in Bioengineering from the University of Maryland, College Park. While much of my professional background has been in the wet lab environment, I have always had a passion for tutoring and supporting students. My experience includes tutoring high schoolers in math, particularly in algebra and pre-calculus, which has reinforced my love for both math and science, especially biology.
I find great fulfillment in helping students overcome academic challenges, and I aim to make learning engaging and approachable, just as my own mentors did for me. Beyond my academic interests, I enjoy reading on my Kindle, spending quality time with friends and family over good food or boba, and exploring new destinations—most recently, the breathtaking landscapes of Banff. I am excited about the opportunity to inspire and guide students as they explore the fascinating worlds of math and science.

As a passionate and adaptive tutor, I specialize in helping students excel in math and science. With a background in bioengineering and extensive tutoring experience, I focus on breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps. I tailor my teaching to each student’s learning style, whether they’re preparing for AP Calculus or Biology.
A typical lesson includes reviewing prior material, introducing new concepts, guided problem-solving, and independent practice to build confidence and mastery. My goal is to not only improve grades but to foster a deeper understanding of the subject, encouraging students to take ownership of their learning.
What sets me apart is my ability to connect abstract ideas to real-world examples, making learning more engaging and meaningful. I’m dedicated to building a strong foundation for my students, equipping them with the skills and strategies needed for independent success.
