I am a music performance student and have been performing over the past 4 years once I found myself in a band during my university years. I loved it and still do, and have performed at musical festivals like Tenement Trail and regularly play at venues such as King Tuts, supported other artists on tour and have done session work as a bassist, performing both live and in the studio. I started out the same as every other artist, inexperienced, nervous, thinking i maybe wasn't as good as i should be, and have now settled into being a confident and able performer due to the past 4 years of experience and counting.

I tailor lessons to each individual as no two students are the same. I myself have had multiple tutors before I found the one that was right for me a few years back and I realised it was down to a teacher simply understanding what I wanted out of my musical journey and tailoring lessons to an approach that suited me, my style and taste. Obviously, in the era of the internet, self-teaching has never been easier but it has also been made extremely difficult due to an over saturated market and far too much content. It was overwhelming for me and that is why i even still use a tutor to this day for more advanced lessons. Having someone to look from the outside in to see where you are at and guide you can take a lot of frustration and confusion out of the picture to make a more enjoyable and streamlined journey. I studied a law degree before i studied music but have had experience in tutoring both, and I have a genuine passion for teaching, and began my musical tutoring my showing family and friends learning the guitar what i knew and what i wish i had been shown years before. My lessons are for all ages and abilities, and they can range between half an hour to an hour, depending on what you want out of them. If you are interested, feel free to contact!
