About Dana
With over 20 years of singing experience and more than a decade dedicated to teaching, I've discovered that singing is so much more than just hitting the right notes - it's a powerful tool for personal transformation and wellbeing. My teaching journey has taken me through diverse musical landscapes - from intimate one-to-one sessions to dynamic group classes and choir direction. I have a particular passion for musical theatre styles, helping students master the storytelling, character work, and vocal techniques that bring songs to life on stage. What I love most about teaching is getting to know each of my students - understanding not just their vocal abilities, but who they are as individuals. I believe that confidence is the foundation of great singing, and I'm passionate about creating a safe, supportive space where students can explore their voice without judgement. Beyond vocal technique, I'm deeply committed to exploring the mental health benefits that singing brings. Whether it's the stress relief of deep breathing exercises, the joy of self-expression through character and story, or the confidence boost that comes from mastering a challenging musical theatre piece, I've witnessed firsthand how singing can be a powerful ally for mental wellbeing.
