About Daniel
My name is Daniel Egerton I am an Irish Actor/Tutor, I have been performing since I was 4 years old and haven't stopped, I started teaching straight out of drama school In 2016 and have loved every minute of it. I run classes with as little as 1 student to workshops with 50 students. I perform and continue to audition myself so it's very useful as a tutor to have that inside knowledge and really see what casting directors and Drama schools are looking for in a potential Actor.

We will cover a wide area with the first and foremost being:
● Voice preparation: I use an actor-body approach which helps you engage your voice on the emotional level that is needed for performing andauditioning. Using the body we will explore the different aspects and colours of the voice, with techniques such as elements of yoga and breath body connection.
● Text work: One of the main elements of a good audition is good text, I will show you the do's and don'ts for picking the best monologue that fits to you as a person and will show you in your best light.
● Mock auditions: as we progress, I will start to incorporate as many "Mock"auditions as possible, focusing on finer and finer details as the classes progress.
● Open learning environment: Feedback is important, so that's why I like to engage with my student and encourage them to direct their own learning, it's your audition after all.

I have been attending lessons in acting with Daniel for over two years now. I found him to be an excellent mentor, providing a safe space to learn and develop my skills in acting. Each lesson was so insightful with a positive energy of encouragement and enthusiasm. Daniel champions the strengths of his students and works with them in achieving their goals. I was incredibly prepared when it came to my college auditions, proud of the monologues I had prepared under the guidance of Daniel. He gave me an insight into what a real college audition would look like pushing me to my potential with mock auditions. This I found to be incredibly helpful. Without a doubt, I confidently recommend Daniel as a dedicated and knowledgeable acting tutor.
I went to Daniel before my Drama School auditions to work on monologues and got into the Lir under his guidance, his advice has been some of the best I’ve recieved and I would highly recommend!!
Excellent tutor with fantastic pointers and fleshes out monologues with intriguing insights, very experienced and a loveable guy - super healthy environment.
I booked a lesson with Daniel in preparation for a conservatoire audition and we wasted no time on getting to work. Almost immediately Daniel was able to point out little things that I had not previously noticed and tuned me up on them. He provided astute recommendations that helped me add even more colour and life to my monologues.
At first we worked on my Shakespeare monologue where Daniel through a variety of techniques and methods was able to get my monologue far more grounded and much more alive than it previously was.
Afterwards we covered my contemporary monologue and Daniel had no shortage of secret tips and tricks from his own time spent in conservatoires which greatly assisted the energy and delivery of my monologue.
As in this specific instance, it was a lesson to prepare for the audition, Daniel also gave several audition tips on what to expect and how to present yourself to the panel.
On top of all this his prices are an absolute bargain. I'll definitely be a recurring student!I had the pleasure of doing 1-to-1 acting lessons with Daniel while preparing for my drama school auditions, and I couldn’t recommend him highly enough. Daniels guidance was invaluable, from helping me select the right monologues to refining my technique and building my confidence. Each session was tailored to my needs, with insightful feedback that pushed me to improve while keeping the process enjoyable
