About Julia
As the Inaugural Berkeley Youth Poet Laureate, I am qualified to teach writing workshops and I specialize in creative writing. I have also led poetry and editing workshops at the local middle school for two years. In addition, I run the slam poetry club at my school and proctor for a 9th grade English class. I can help you understand what exactly your teacher is looking for with the rubric so you can achieve to the highest level!

I've had experience working with students both in classroom settings and one on one. I can help you/your child with anything they are struggling with in class, at any stage of the writing process.
