About Hope
My name is Hope and I’m a high school senior from South Carolina. I achieved a 36 on both the Reading and English sections of the ACT, as well as helped various classmates receive passing grades on their essays in various subjects, primarily English. I also love poetry, and have written various poems myself. I’m an avid reader with a passion for helping other students get the grades they want, and aid in their proficiency in English and Reading. I’m currently learning Spanish (a beginner), and I also do theater for my school (8+ years experience).

I’m a high school senior who doesn’t mind teaching any grade/age group, excluding college (depending on the lesson).
I’m incredibly patient and will take my time to make sure my students understand the material, as well as provide them confidence in their own abilities. I build upon my student’s original ideas, and give helpful feedback that can strengthen their writing without completely changing it. I also encourage their attention to detail, which aids in reading comprehension. This is especially helpful for standardized tests (I achieved a 36 on Reading Section of ACT, for example).
