About Maja
Hi! I'm currently studying Higher English after achieving a high pass in National 5. I know how stressful English can feel, but I've found ways to make it much easier. I want to share those tips and techniques with younger pupils to help build confidence, improve essays, and make the subject as a whole come easier and less scary. I'm friendly, patient and easy to talk to - lessons with me are supportive and relaxed, so you can ask questions without pressure.

My lessons are designed for S1-S4 pupils who want to improve in English. I focus on practical techniques like breaking down essays, practice RUAE and refine skills and polishing folio pieces. I use simple explanations, examples and guided practice to help pupils feel more confident. However, I am not fixed on a certain teaching style and I'm more than happy to adjust. Each lesson would typically last an hour, with time split between revising school work and targeted practice in weaker areas. I encourage questions and adapt the lesson to fit each pupil's needs, so every session feels useful and personal. I achieved an A1 in National 5 English and 26/30 in my folio, and I'm currently studying Higher English. While I'm new to tutoring, I bring recent exam success, strong subject knowledge, and a supportive and adaptable approach.
