About Jean

Helping others and watching other people feel the joy that comes from music, I believe, is made all the more special when it is a shared experience. I've been teaching for the last two years but have recently moved to Melbourne.

I've gigged a lot in my life time and have a lot to give to others!

Hey there!
Looking to work on your voice, musicianship, piano or guitar? Or perhaps all of these skills? Maybe you want to write your own music or improve your music theory? If you have a busy life and can only fit in a lesson now and then, or you're hoping to move the ball faster and want to commit to weekly lessons or bi-weekly... please read on!

I have been a professional musician for 12 years, and teaching music for 2 years. I have a Bachelor of Music from WAAPA and a Grad Dip of Psychology. My passion is helping others find their natural voice, whether that's through an instrument or literally. Overcoming mental barriers in my performance is also something I've struggled with personally, and is close to my heart and something I love helping others with so they can perform at their very best!

I do everything from 30 minute sessions to hour sessions. We can focus on any area of music within that time whether it be 15 minutes of music theory or performance preparation, followed by 45 minutes of singing, or maybe songwriting or piano... honestly, we can mash up the session to suit your needs, or do a full session of mastering one thing. It's really up to you!

I've taught all ages and believe anyone at any age or stage can achieve anything they desire in their music!

Perfect! Jean is really good at explaining techniques to others and working up in progression on scale. I didn’t think my pitch would be able to reach the level being asked of me because I’d been out of singing practice for such a long while. However, with Jeans support and explaining, I was able to overcome the barriers related to my vocal muscles and sing well! Highly recommend
