About Grace
I am an undergraduate student at Duke University (go Blue Devils!) studying public policy and history. As a Bostonian, I am a huge Boston sports fan and an avid long-distance runner. I ran my first marathon (NYC) last year and hope to run the Boston Marathon soon! I come from a big family, am an identical twin, and have the cutest little Golden Doodle named Wrigley. In my free time, I love journaling, exploring the outdoors with friends, and watching The West Wing. I am passionate about working with kids and am energized by the enthusiasm and drive of young aspiring students.

As an experienced tutor, I understand the importance of tailoring my approach to each individual student. I firmly believe that effective tutoring requires a personalized approach, as every student has unique strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles. By carefully assessing the needs and goals of each student, I am able to create customized lesson plans and teaching strategies that address specific areas for improvement. Through this student-centered approach, I strive to foster a supportive and engaging learning environment that maximizes their potential.
In my tutoring sessions, I offer flexibility in the type of assistance I provide to my tutees. I understand that students may have specific homework assignments they need help with, and I am more than willing to provide guidance and support in completing those assignments. Additionally, I am also capable of designing and assigning my own customized assignments tailored to address specific areas of improvement. These assignments can range from reading comprehension exercises to writing prompts that encourage critical thinking and creativity. By offering a combination of homework assistance and self-designed assignments, I aim to provide a comprehensive learning experience that strengthens my tutees' skills and fosters their independent thinking and growth.
