About Shriya
I am a student of Arts, specializing in English Literature. I'm in my Second Year of the course in Fergusson College, Pune and have been awarded entry to this course due to excellent academic score in the subject. Apart from being a student of literary analysis by JLT for one year, I have also had a great deal of exposure to spoken word poetry. I have won prizes in a few online poetry contests hosted by the platform AllPoetry. I've also managed to be selected for my short story in the Write India Write contest by Times of India. I have won prizes in inter-collegiate, regional as well as national spoken word poetry contests. I am also the head of English Language Association of Fergusson College.
Apart from this, I have informal experience teaching NCERT English Literature to 9th and 10th grade students. I'm on way to starting private tuitions pertaining to critical analysis of language and literature.

The teaching methodology I've employed up until now is very interactive. Especially with something like poetry, the students need to develop an intuitive grasp of at least tone and mood in poems. That, in my experience, is best taught through a plethora of examples from both the teacher and the students.
