About Ona

I’ve taught students of all ages and backgrounds—both in the UK and abroad—and have supported learners from early years to adult professionals. My experience includes classroom teaching, one-to-one tuition, and working with students with diverse learning needs. You can feel confident that I will approach each lesson with care, clarity, and a commitment to your progress. About the lesson

My teaching is student-centred, meaning each lesson is tailored to the learner’s individual goals, level, and learning style. I believe that students learn best when they feel supported, understood, and engaged—so I focus on creating a positive, inclusive environment where confidence and communication can grow naturally. Lessons are interactive and practical, with a balance of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Whether you're working towards fluency, preparing for an exam, or just starting your English journey, I’ll adapt my methods to suit your pace and preferences. I also incorporate real-life materials, games, and role-play to make learning enjoyable and relevant. A typical lesson lasts either 30 minutes or 1 hour, depending on your needs and availability. I offer flexibility in scheduling and can adjust lesson length for younger learners or those looking for more intensive sessions. I hold a TEFL Diploma (250 hours) with specialisations in Special Educational Needs (SEN) and English for Specific Purposes (ESP), and a Law and Criminology degree from The University of Law. I have over three years of experience teaching English both in the UK and abroad—including young children, teenagers, and adults, as well as learners with intellectual and emotional support needs. My lessons are suitable for learners of all levels (A1 to C2) and all ages. Whether you're a beginner looking to build a foundation, an advanced learner refining your academic or professional English, or someone needing a confidence boost—I’m here to help you reach your goals with patience, structure, and enthusiasm.
