About Hayfa
I have always loved reading and so it is no surprise that I enjoy being an English tutor. I achieved top grades in my English GCSEs and A-levels, in large part because I had such amazing teachers. Hence, I want to inspire the same confidence in my students, and work with them to unlock their potential and achieve their goals or beyond. I am proud to say that all of my students over the past four years have achieved between grades 5-9, which has been such a rewarding experience for me. Tutoring for this long means that I have learnt so much from my students, as I am always open to feedback and constant development, such as undertaking SEND training so that I can interact with a wider range of students. Tuition lessons with me are a time of open and honest communication and struggle, which we will work through as a team. Together, we will persevere through every difficulty whilst continuing to build on your strengths.

We will spend lessons going through content and exam skills, ensuring that we are improving at least one of those necessary skills every lesson. Content includes characters, themes, plot points, quotes and context, all of which we will go through until students understand them. I constantly push doing practice answers and sometimes we will do them together as examples of how to write answers. When doing these examples, I will show you structure and how to implement these skills for a wide range of texts and questions, hence, you won't just be given example answers, but demonstrations on how to achieve those example answers. We will also go over revision techniques, going through a range of them to help you find the ones best suited to you. I encourage students to practise questions outside of lessons as well as much as they can, so that we can look at these in lessons.
