About Jonas

Welcome! I am a music producer, mixing engineer, and guitarist from Germany with over 5 years of teaching experience in music production, songwriting, arranging, and mixing. I have been playing guitar for over 20 years and have gained experience in a variety of settings, both in the studio and on stage. After completing my bachelor's degree in electrical and computer engineering, I completed a postgraduate course in music production and sound engineering at the Abbey Road Institute with distinction. I love working in all genres and take great pleasure in helping my students create the music they have always imagined. I am a patient, friendly, and passionate teacher who guides and motivates my students to reach their full musical potential. I am happy to share my passion for music with my students.

About the lesson

What I can teach you:

In class, the student sets the pace. I tailor each lesson specifically to the student's interests and abilities to ensure they not only progress but also enjoy making music. The focus of the lessons is on the type of music the student wants to make, whether it's pop, rock, singer-songwriter, metal, blues, or a completely different genre.

⁍ If you're completely new to the electric guitar, we'll start with the basics: posture, attack, simple chords and riffs – with songs you like as an introduction.
⁍ If you want to play your favorite songs, I'll show you how to play along, listen to them by ear, or accompany them with tabs and chords.
⁍ If you want to write your own music, we will work on songwriting, harmony theory and how you can implement and accompany your ideas on the guitar.
⁍ If you want to learn to improvise, we will delve into scales, phrasing, technique and creative exercises – whether blues, rock or modern styles.
⁍ If you already play but want to improve in a specific way, I can help you master technique, timing, sense of style, or specific songs and solos.
⁍ If you are an advanced guitarist, we can delve deeper into topics such as modes, complex rhythms, solo analysis, effects devices and your individual sound.

No previous musical training is necessary. My lessons are suitable for all ages and experience levels, so feel free to book a free trial lesson! I offer lessons in German and English.

Jonas is an INCREDIBLE teacher. In a month's time working with him I've made serious progress in using Logic. He is so patient and helps break down and explain concepts in ways that I can internalize and remember, that no Youtube tutorial could help me understand. I highly recommend him for anyone at any stage of their music production journey, he will take you from where you are to where you want to be. For so long, I felt stuck and overwhelmed using Logic. The mass of knowledge about music production and mixing seemed so like so much! Thanks to Jonas, I no longer feel that way. It feels totally doable and way less overwhelming. I am way more confident working in Logic Pro and feel motivated and excited instead of dread opening the DAW every day. Instead of continuing to hit my head against a wall watching video after video, I am so thankful I chose to do lessons with him.
