About Isla
I’m a French tutor with over 4 years of experience and a Graduate Diploma in French Language Teaching. I’ve always believed that language is music, and I bring that belief into every lesson. My passion lies in helping students master pronunciation through rhythm, sound, and feeling. I use music, phonetics, and the natural flow of speech to build confident and expressive speakers. French songs, tongue twisters, and classic poetry are a big part of my sessions. They help develop not just correct pronunciation, but a deeper connection to the sound and soul of the language. I guide students in improving their accent, intonation, and fluency in a playful yet precise way. Over the years, I’ve worked closely with actors, voice artists, and singers who need to perfect their spoken French. Each lesson is shaped to fit your goals, whether you're performing on stage or speaking in everyday life. I pay close attention to how each student hears and produces sound. Together, we’ll focus on tone, rhythm, and expression—essential tools for anyone wanting to speak naturally and clearly. I believe in coaching the ear as much as the tongue. Writing is approached through structured exercises as well as creative storytelling to balance precision and imagination.
Listening and speaking are included in every lesson to ensure real-world communication skills. I use audio clips, videos, and French music to make learning dynamic and culturally rich. Each session is interactive, allowing students to apply what they learn immediately. I regularly assess progress and adjust lessons accordingly. My goal is to guide each student to not just speak French, but to understand and feel the language deeply.
